I had a wonderful time with my niece Courtney this summer. She had been staying with us for the last 3 weeks and is 9 years old. She is my husband’s sister’s kid and we got to do all kinds of things together. We went to the pottery studio, the neighborhood pool, watched lots of movies and took her up to the mountains where we saw deer & bear and got to spend lots of time hiking and at the lake’s beach. Courtney also got to go to Zoo Camp in Atlanta, which she loved. Here are some pics of her from when we got to do some paintings on the front porch. She also helped me paint a mural on my porch floor, it says, “Happy Heart, Happy Home”. There were some challenges as with all kids I suppose, but we got through it.

Got an email today from a wonderful artist who is making the cutest celebration candle holders! I hope to be making her some ceramic cupcakes for her to use as display at her art shows. Cupcakes Unite! Be sure to check out her other products too - it’s all too cute. I’m also really impressed with the number of stores The Small Object works with - I hope to have as many or more one day Thanks for the inspiration Sarah!
