Pottery Handbuilding Class Announcement

Hey all you Atlanta locals - I’ll be assistant teaching a pottery hand building class with Devanie Schlipp at Cabbagtown Clay and Glassworks beginning in May! Hand building is a great technique for beginning potters to understand how to design and execute their clay projects by pinching, coiling, and constructing with strips and slabs. Class begins on May 7th.

Beginning Wheel Throwing – $200.00
May 12th, 2008
Monday 7:15 – 9:15
8 sessions
Learn basic throwing techniques and make functional pottery shapes on the wheel;
everything from centering to glazing. No experience necessary only determination. Most
beginners leave with 5 or more pieces. We make mugs, bowls, plates and learn to attach
handles. *25lbs of clay and tools included in the price of class
extra bag of clay is $16.00

Beginning Fused Glass Class - $220.00
May 7th, 2008
Wednesday 7:15 – 9:15
8 sessions
Learn all the skills needed to complete 4 projects: votive candle holders, 5″x7″ picture frame, 8″ round plate and a 10″ square plate. Some tools are needed for this class; a complete supply list will be given at the first class. Glass for your first project and some supplies are provided. Class size is limited to the first 7 registrants.

* Most classes require a minimum number of students. In the event the minimum is not
met, we reserve the right to postpone or cancel the class. If a class is canceled, a full refund will be issued.
After the session starts, refunds are not issued for any reason.
