Monday, March 24th, 2008I am in love with and inspired by innovative craft thinking with fine art touches! This new trend of craft meets art has become a really exciting emerging art market for me. Check out Melanie Moore’s mixed media work comprised of sewing, painting and silkscreen accentuated by vintage materials that she uses in the fabric and framing. Really pretty stuff. Melanie doesn’t seem to have her own website but is selling these pieces on Think Space Gallery (you can view her work on the bottom of page 2 and top of page 3.)
